Africana / Black Studies

A guide to support the academic work and research related to the Africana / Black Studies Minor.

Getting started

Welcome to the Africana and Black Studies research guide. Resources on this guide deal with the study of all aspects of Africa and Africans, African Americans, the African Diaspora, black studies in general, and race studies.

There will be a mix of physical and online library resources including journals, newspapers, primary sources, books and e-books, video, as well as publicly available online websites.

It is important to remember that many of these resources are a starting off point but a great way to start is seeking research assistance from the librarians at Wardman Library.  You can reach out to us at OR 562.907.4247 ext.4692.
