Economics: Find Video/Films

The DVD collection is located on the first floor of Wardman Library. Each DVD has a loan period of one week, unless it is on course reserve.

The Library has licensed a select list of films from Kanopy. Additional films from Kanopy could be licensed at the request of Faculty.

The Library has worked with Swank Digital Campus to provide limited access to popular, recent, or classic films from the major movie studios. Additional films from Swank could be licensed at the request of Faculty.

The collection now contains 350,000 news programs collected over 3 years from national U.S. networks and stations in San Francisco and Washington D.C. The archive is updated with new broadcasts 24 hours after they are aired. Older materials are also being added.

Film offers us a powerful tool to raise awareness of important issues not covered by the mainstream news. Our goal is to provide citizens with the information and perspectives essential to creating a more just, sustainable, and democratic society.
