Background and options

Library Options

  • DVDs - The Library's DVD collection has over 2,500 titles that encompass feature films, documentaries, television programs and more.  You can search for a title through the library catalog.

  • Global Environmental Justice Collection - Faculty members from distinguished colleges and universities have selected over 20 environmental justice documentaries and writing teaching guides.  The subjects range from the hidden costs of fast fashion in Asia and forest preservation in Tibet to inner-city environmental issues in the U.S.  Together these films promote understanding of the link between environmental issues and human rights and they support solutions for complex global problems. (Streaming video)

  • Kanopy licensed titles - The Library has licensed a select list of films from Kanopy.  Additional films from Kanopy could be licensed at the request of faculty. (Streaming video)

  • Swank Digital Campus licensed titles - The Library has worked with Swank Digital Cmapus to provide limited access to popular, recent, and/or classic films from the major movie studios.  Additional films from Swank could be licensed at the request of faculty.

  • Theatre and Drama Premium - This resource delivers the spectacle of live theatre directly to you with streaming performances from "The National Theatre Collection," "Royal Shakespeare Company" and other prominent theatre collections. A set of tutorials provide assistance to optimize your usage.

If you are planning to use a film for a course, the Library would like to treat these like course reserves and be notified before the semester starts so we can ensure accessibility.
